If the thought of watching the Super Bowl holds no appeal for you, turn the channel to Animal Planet on the big day. Puppy Bowl VIII features darling puppies from shelters across the U.S. “playing” football. With a kitty half-time show, the two hour special offers some serious cuteness for the non-football fan. The special loops from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. so even if you are watching the true game, you can tune in to Puppy Bowl. Just be prepared for the kids to beg to adopt a pup for weeks afterward!

I love the puppy bowl I watch this with my kids every year. They love to watch the puppies try and play sports it is so cute and usually funny also. they really enjoyed it when they were younger, because you get to see the dogs play together.
